The eternal question… How to know if your partner is really The One?
Are you missing out? will you be content? is it enough?
Who hasn’t have all those doubts when being in a relationship, especially a long-term relationship?
Love is such a wide concept that it becomes very hard to really understand it. Perhaps the real problem is that we try to understand love when we should just focus on feeling it?
Love can be one of the most fulfilling feelings in the world. It gives your existence an aim. But what happens when you’re in a relationship?
Life gets in the way, especially routine. Your routine becomes a couple routine, your activities are a thing of two, and your plans have also to take into account two people.
But how to know if your partner is really what’s best for you? How to know if your partner is not holding you back?
And most importantly: how to know if you couldn’t find somebody better for you?
Applying Black Jack to Love
Here’s the theory that really works…
Surely you’ve already heard of the gambling game Black Jack. A card game in which you have to try to reach 21 or the closest to 21. The dealer also plays with you and a group of other people. The trick is that you never know for sure if you’ll have higher points than the others.
The game starts by dealing to each player two cards. The sum up of these two cards will be your starting total of points. Remember the aim is to get as close to 21 as possible!
Once is your turn you can ask the dealer for another card (or several other cards) until you decide to stick with your number. If you ask for too many cards and you exceed 21 you’ve lost.
If you decide the number you’ve got is close enough to 21 and you’re happy with it: you stick. You won’t know if you’ve won or not until the other players (dealer included) reveal all their cards. If your number was the highest (as the closest to 21) then you win.
What it means is that sometimes you can win with a 15, a 13 or a 19.

So the question you’ve got to ask yourself is: Do you stick?
Perhaps in your quest to looking for the 21, you could lose it all, plus you never know how much closer to 21 you can get.
So basically if you’re wondering if your partner is really the one all you need to know is if it’s worth sticking or not.
Whether you’re meeting a match on an online dating site, or you’ve been for quite a while in a relationship, the same logic applies.
